Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), a leading private sector Think-Thank and Policy Advocacy Group committed to the development of a modern globally competitive economy, in its quest for excellence decided to projectise its work and create processes and frameworks for sustainable project execution, the organization decided to set up a project/program management (PMO) in order to support its activities: initiatives, projects and programmes.
The project which was implemented by iCentra with the aim of creating processes and frameworks for sustainable project execution and institutionalise project and programme management practice through the implementation of a Project/Program Management Office (PMO). The PMO will assist the organization as it supports its activities; initiatives, projects and programmes.
The implementation of a PMO provides NESG with the capability to execute a variety of initiatives using standard project management approach. It also assist in the alignment of project/programmes to the strategic objectives of the organization and adjust functional element to provide appropriate support.
It is believed that the successful implementation of a Project/Program Management Office (PMO) at the NESG will aid project practitioners in the successful delivery of projects to ensure accountability, visibility of all projects, benefits realisation and performance management.
